The parent-teacher home visit program that PVP initiated in 2006 will benefit many new families next year thanks to a $1.25 million, five year "Closing the Achievement Gap" grant that the Springfield Education Association Foundation. Read the history of the home visit project.

Pioneer Valley Project is working in partnership with the Springfield Public Schools and the Springfield Education Association to implement a teacher home visit program in seven schools this year. The program, PARENTS: Stepping Up As Powerful Partners, builds relationships between parents and teachers to enable them to work together for student success. Schools participating this year will be Bowles, DeBerry, Lincoln, Renaissance, Sumner, Walsh, and Gerena.
