The Springfield congregation was established in 1883. As vowed members, they are women who love God and attend to the needs of their neighbors. They give witness to the love of God by living simply and working for a more just society. The Sisters seek to be stewards of the earth and believe in the power of women working together. It is their ministry to work where there are unmet needs in a variety of environments: working with the poor, parish work, education, working with AIDS patients, and working in soup kitchens.  Prayer is at the heart of their service and their life in community sustains them for service.
